Since 2017, the Elderly Resources Centre (ERC) of the Housing Society has been collaborated with various organisations and business partners to carry out Home Modification Programmes, with an objective to advocate the concept of Age-Friendly Home in the community in providing a safer, more convenient and barrier-free home living environment for elderly. Our occupational therapists offer free services to elderly with higher falling risks, including assessments for home environment, home modifications and purchase of assistive devices, to facilitate elderly to attain their wish of aging in place.

For this year, the programme targets to provide support to elderly with mild cognitive impairment and their caregivers. In addition to assessments for home environment and home modifications, the programme also encompasses a series of cognitive training activities, with an aspiration to delay cognitive degradation of participants and to raise their awareness of cognitive impairment, in promotion of early prevention and intervention.
