Mind-friendly Home Training Program

The Elderly Resources Centre (ERC) aims to promote the concept of age-friendly home through community education, and set up Mind-friendly Home Exploration Centre in 2017 to show applications on how to adopt a friendly home design for people with dementia. In order to help medical professionals, allied health professionals and dementia care-givers have a better understanding of dementia and “Mind-Friendly Home” design, ERC organizes free of charge Mind-Friendly Home Training Program, so as to build confidence in supporting people with dementia.

To date, ERC has provided Mind-Friendly Home Training Program to more than 300 allied health professionals & university students, as well as dementia care-givers. Through the workshop and the visit to Mind-friendly Home Exploration Centre, participants learn more about the principles and applications of MIND-Friendly home environment.
