To promote greater understanding of Age-Friendly and MIND-Friendly Home designs, the Elderly Resources Centre (ERC) of the Housing Society regularly organises training workshops for professionals and tertiary students from nursing, allied health, social work and related disciplines, to enrich their knowledge and raise their confidence in supporting various elderly to age in place, as well as to experience first-hand the difficulties elderly face in daily lives.
ERC has been providing trainings to over 1,000 professionals and tertiary students from nursing, allied health, social work and related disciplines. Participants learn about the design principles and applications of Age-Friendly and MIND-Friendly Home environment through engaging in different workshops and visiting mock-up flats.
